Lesson 5: Potential Energy Types
Electric Charge - Overall Positivity or Negativity of a system. It's determined by # of Protons vs. Electrons
Potential Energy Types
A. Gravitational Energy - Energy an object possesses by position above the ground.
B. Electrical Potential Energy - Energy required to move a charge against an electric field.
C. Elastic Energy - Energy stored in an object due to its stretch or deformation.
D. Chemical Energy - Energy stored in the bonds between the atoms of molecules.
E. Nuclear Energy - Energy stored in the nucleus of an atom. (Between the Protons and Neutrons)
F. Magnetic Energy - Energy required to move a similar magnetic pole against a magnetic field.
