Vocabulary and Notes:
Medium - A substance that energy travels through. (Can be a Solid, Liquid, or Gas)
Mechanical Waves - Waves that need a medium to pass through.
Electromagnetic Waves - Waves of light that require no medium to travel.
Refraction: When any wave energy bends when entering a new medium.
Examples of Wave Energy:
A. Radiant Energy - Energy that moves in waves from a light source. (Also known as "Electromagnetic")
B. Sound Energy - Moving of sound waves through a medium. Produced by disturbances in matter.
